Car crashes like the recent one often lead to serious injuries for those involved. Even at moderate speeds, the force of impact between two vehicles can cause lasting harm. In Northwest Florida, where traffic and tourist activity are high year-round, collisions frequently result in a wide range of physical injuries.
Some of the most common injuries sustained in auto accidents include:
- Whiplash and neck strain, caused by sudden forward and backward movement
- Back and spinal injuries, which may lead to nerve damage or chronic pain
- Head injuries, ranging from concussions to traumatic brain injuries
- Broken bones and fractures from seat belt tension or impact with the vehicle’s interior
- Internal bleeding or organ damage, which may not be immediately visible
- Cuts and bruises from shattered glass or flying debris
Victims often face expensive medical treatment, therapy, and time away from work. These injuries can significantly impact daily life, causing both physical pain and emotional distress. Seeking medical attention immediately after a crash is crucial—even minor symptoms can signal more serious conditions.
