Car Accidents in Florida

In Florida, car accidents are a significant concern, with over 251,000 people injured in crashes just in 2023. These accidents happen for many reasons, including:

  • Driving while distracted: Distracted driving is a major issue. It often involves using cell phones or other distractions inside the car, which can lead to many accidents.

  • Driving too fast: Speeding also contributes to crash severity because it shortens the time drivers have to react and increases the chance of collisions.

  • Driving while impaired: Impaired driving, whether from alcohol, drugs, or even just being very tired, creates a serious risk on Florida's roads and leads to many accidents each year.

  • Inclement weather conditions: Bad weather, like heavy rain or fog, can make driving very dangerous, raising the chances of accidents.
