Tallahassee, FL – 1 Injured in Structure Fire on Longevity Ln

Tallahassee, FL (September 24, 2025) – Firefighters extinguished a house fire on Longevity Lane on Tuesday morning, September 23, after being dispatched by the Tallahassee Fire Department.

According to officials, the fire was reported at 10:36 a.m. and appeared to have started from an electrical issue inside the home. When crews arrived, they saw smoke rising from the front of the residence.

Firefighters from Stations responded quickly, working with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS, Woodville Volunteer Fire Department, and Talquin Electric Cooperative to bring the situation under control.

One individual sustained injuries while evacuating the home. EMS crews evaluated the injured person at the scene, and no additional injuries were reported.

Authorities said the fire was contained before it spread further, preventing more serious damage. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is ongoing.
