Fatal Motorcycle Accidents in Northwest Florida

Losing a loved one due to someone else’s negligence or recklessness is a heartbreaking experience. In Florida, when a fatal accident occurs as a result of another person's actions, such as in this tragic motorcycle crash, surviving family members may be entitled to file a wrongful death claim.

A wrongful death claim allows the family members of the deceased to seek compensation for the financial and emotional toll caused by their loved one's death. If you are the survivor of someone who has died in an accident, here are some possible compensations you may be entitled to:

  • Funeral and Burial Expenses: The family can recover the costs associated with funeral services, burial, and related expenses. This compensation can alleviate the financial burden during a difficult time.
  • Medical Bills: If the deceased was hospitalized before passing, the family may recover medical costs, including emergency treatment and ongoing care prior to their death.
  • Lost Wages and Future Earnings: If the deceased was a primary income earner, the surviving family members may be entitled to compensation for the lost wages and future earnings that the deceased would have contributed to the family.
  • Pain and Suffering: Family members may be compensated for the emotional distress, grief, and trauma experienced from the loss of their loved one.
  • Loss of Companionship and Support: Compensation may be available for the loss of the deceased’s love, companionship, and emotional support, especially for spouses, children, and other dependents.
