Youngstown, FL (September 30, 2025) – A tragic accident near Youngstown, in Bay County, claimed the life of a 3-year-old child on Sunday afternoon, September 28.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened at a private hunting lease near Hobbs Road. Around midday, a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado attempted a U-turn when the truck’s right-side tires struck a young child playing in a grassy field nearby.

The impact left the child with life-threatening injuries. The parents immediately called for emergency assistance, and paramedics transported the child to a nearby hospital. Medical staff attempted life-saving procedures, but the child did not survive.
