Pensacola, FL – 3 Injured, 1 Critically, After Pickup Truck Crashes Into Blossman Gas on Michigan Ave
Pensacola, FL (October 14, 2025) – A devastating crash occurred on Monday, October 13, when a pickup truck plowed into the Blossman Gas building on Michigan Avenue in West Pensacola, leaving three people injured, including two pedestrians.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:50 p.m. when a 39-year-old man from Elberta became distracted while using his cellphone. His pickup truck veered off course, jumped a curb, and suffered a right front tire blowout before careening out of a nearby dentist's office parking lot. The vehicle then crossed Montgomery Avenue, traveled through an open area, and slammed into the Blossman Gas building.
Emergency crews from Escambia County Fire Rescue, the Sheriff’s Office, and EMS rushed to the scene. Responders found a large hole in the side of the building, with the truck lodged partly inside and through the opposite wall. Crews rescued one person trapped inside and transported all three victims to a nearby hospital.
Troopers reported that a 61-year-old woman from Pensacola sustained critical injuries, while a 59-year-old woman from Cantonment suffered serious injuries. The 39-year-old driver was also seriously hurt in the collision.
The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate this serious incident to determine whether charges will be filed.
Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and we wish everyone a swift and full recovery.
