Pensacola, FL – 2 Injured After Multi-Vehicle Crash on W Nine Mile Rd & Navy Federal Way

Pensacola, FL (October 10, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized on Thursday afternoon, October 9, following a multi-vehicle collision involving a Pepsi Co. Buffalo Rock commercial truck in Escambia County.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. when the commercial vehicle was traveling east on West Nine Mile Road and reportedly failed to stop at a red light near Navy Federal Way. The 40-year-old truck driver continued through the intersection, striking several vehicles attempting to make a left turn.

Emergency crews arrived quickly to assist the victims. A 29-year-old woman driving a sedan and a 30-year-old man operating a sport utility vehicle both sustained injuries. They were transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation.

Authorities temporarily closed part of the roadway to clear the wreckage and collect evidence. The crash remains under investigation as officers determine what caused the driver to disregard the traffic signal.

We wish the two injured individuals a swift and full recovery.

Truck Accidents in Pensacola

Truck and commercial vehicle accidents in Pensacola often lead to severe injuries, even at moderate speeds. The sheer size and weight of trucks like those operated by delivery and beverage companies make these crashes particularly dangerous for drivers in smaller vehicles.

When a truck driver runs a red light or fails to stop in time, the impact can cause devastating physical harm. Victims of these collisions frequently suffer injuries such as:

  • Whiplash and neck strain from sudden, forceful impact
  • Back and spinal injuries, including herniated discs or fractures
  • Head trauma or concussions caused by hitting the steering wheel or window
  • Broken bones in the arms, legs, or ribs
  • Soft tissue injuries that result in long-term pain and limited mobility
  • Internal bleeding or organ damage from high-impact collisions
  • Facial injuries from shattered glass or deployed airbags

These injuries can require extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and time away from work. Seeking prompt treatment and legal guidance from a Pensacola personal injury lawyer is crucial for recovery and accountability.
