Escambia County, FL – Two Drivers Seriously Injured in Head-On Collision on Tedder Rd
Escambia County, FL (October 21, 2025) – Two drivers suffered serious injuries on Monday, October 20, after a head-on collision involving two pickup trucks on Tedder Road in Escambia County. The crash occurred around 5:45 a.m., according to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Investigators said a 50-year-old man from Flomaton was driving westbound on Tedder Road when his pickup truck suddenly swerved out of its lane and struck another pickup truck traveling east. The second vehicle, driven by a 37-year-old woman from Flomaton, carried a 7-year-old passenger. The impact caused the first truck to overturn onto its passenger side, coming to rest facing south.
Emergency responders arrived quickly to assist both injured drivers. Paramedics transported the man and woman to a nearby hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The young boy riding in the second truck escaped without harm. Crews closed the roadway temporarily while authorities documented the scene and cleared debris from the area.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers continue to investigate what caused the driver to veer into oncoming traffic. They are examining factors such as fatigue, distraction, or mechanical failure.
Our thoughts are with the injured drivers, and we wish them both a full and speedy recovery.
