Pensacola, FL – Two Children Killed in Overnight Mobile Home Fire on Flaxman St

Pensacola, FL (November 10, 2025) – Tragedy struck on Friday, November 7, when a mobile home fire claimed the lives of two children and a family pet in Pensacola.

According to the Escambia County Fire Rescue (ECFR), firefighters responded to reports of a fully involved blaze at Grand Oak Mobile Home Park on Flaxman Street, located just behind the Escambia High School campus. Crews arrived at approximately 12:56 a.m. to find heavy flames and thick smoke consuming the single-wide mobile home.

Firefighters immediately began attacking the fire in an effort to gain entry and locate those reported trapped inside. After battling the intense flames, crews entered the structure and discovered two children and a dog deceased inside. The heartbreaking discovery prompted an extended on-scene investigation.

Emergency medical teams from Escambia County EMS provided aid to two adults and one pediatric patient who suffered fire-related injuries. All three were transported to nearby hospitals for further care. Authorities confirmed that the mobile home was completely destroyed in the blaze.

Firefighters successfully extinguished the fire around 1:17 a.m., less than 30 minutes after their arrival. The Florida Bureau of Fire, Arson, and Explosives, along with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, is investigating the cause of the deadly fire.
