Cantonment, FL – Teen Killed in Crash on US Hwy 29 near Muscogee Rd
Escambia County, FL (November 24, 2025) – A deadly two-vehicle crash in Escambia County took the life of a 17-year-old Pensacola teen early Saturday morning, November 22. Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the wreck happened on U.S. Highway 29 near Muscogee Road. Investigators believe the teen drove a Toyota sedan out of a convenience store parking lot and tried to turn left onto the highway. At that moment, a Dodge traveling north struck the left side of the Toyota.
The impact caused severe damage. Troopers said the teen wore a seat belt, but the force still threw him from the car. He died at the scene. The Dodge driver, a 26-year-old man from Pensacola, suffered minor injuries. Paramedics treated him after the crash. Authorities have not released any names.
Troopers continue to investigate how the collision happened.
Our deepest condolences go out to the teen’s family and friends as they face this challenging time.

Serious crashes on major highways remain a constant concern in Escambia County and across the Florida Panhandle. Busy roads carry steady traffic at higher speeds. These collisions often happen in seconds, but the consequences can last forever.
Families dealing with a fatal crash often feel overwhelmed by grief and sudden responsibilities. Beyond the emotional shock, they may face financial strain tied to final expenses and the loss of a child’s future support. In Florida, wrongful death claims may help families recover damages when another driver’s negligence caused the loss. These claims can include compensation for funeral costs, loss of companionship, and other economic and personal harms.
Some common questions that come up after fatal car accidents in the Florida Panhandle include:
- Did speed, distraction, or impairment play a role?
- Are there camera videos, witness accounts, or vehicle data to review?
- What insurance coverage applies, and is it enough?
A personal injury attorney in Cantonment can help families find answers. A lawyer can gather official reports, preserve evidence, work with crash reconstruction experts, and handle insurance negotiations. That support lets families focus on healing while someone protects their rights and pursues accountability.
